Aly's wedding shower

some stalker shots
Terry and Kassey threw a shower for Aly and we celebrated over potatoes, smores, and cucumbers(don't ask). Aly and Larry just bought a house down the street from us and I can't wait until we have them as neighbors. Get ready for a lot of crafting

amanda and cubbys den

Amanda and Cubbys house. I would say those two have a lot on their plate right now. Lets see, baby on the way, redoing a house, moving in, starting a new company. Jeannie came over to help them with the house and that lady moves at warp speed, she makes anyone look like a sloth, including me.

I turn my back for one second and baby was playing with coal in the fire place. oopsies.
Trying to walk like Kenya. I knew she was a genius. Now those feral kids on Oprah are making a lot more sense

Lulu is obsessed with Kenya and Kenya is obsessed with lulu, well, come to think of it, Kenya only likes lulu when she is eating something
Envious? Nope. Not even a little. The thought of moving makes me nauseous

harvest time

Most of our plums were victims of the deer this year, they hung out by the plum trees for social hour and went to town.
lots and lots of veggies. Adam asked me the other day if we could stop having hippy dinners and have some man food instead. The poor soldier went to the doctor last week to find that he lost 7 pounds in a month. Oooops
I put my foot next to the zucchini to show some kind of scale. I ended up cooking that bad boy in a vegetable dish and it tasted like dirt.

Uh uh I promise my kitchen doesn't always look like this. Lulu's favorite past time. The dishwasher. Who needs toys anyway? Poor girl will talk about her childhood days as playing with paper, plants and rocks instead of toys. Amanda just brought over a huge box of apples from her tree and lulu just gnaws on them all day. The apples on top have little bite marks all over them.

damn good jam

My sister Alisa came over a month ago and was like, let's make some jam out of those grapes. Sounds like a good idea, and fun. Not. After three hours of slaving away, and only a tenth done, I was like, what have I gotten myself into? Alisa started and then had to leave and my kitchen looked like a tornado. With all the time I spent making this stupid jam, I could have finished 4 paintings. What a burden that grape vine has turned into. I'm sure I'll do it again next year. When I saw how much sugar it called for, I wanted to throw up. It was one to one. So, I substituted honey instead, I hope it tastes good.

I'm sick of paying too much for organic produce. We picked up these fruit trees for a steal of a deal, I hope they harvest yummy fruit. Adam has big plans for the orchard. He wants to plant 25 trees here. I am worried it's going to turn out to be a burden to not only upkeep the trees, but to also store the fruit.

While we were in Amsterdam, Adams creative side kicked in, and he began to feel the urge to build some sculptures. So, when we got home, he collected driftwood and he put together some pretty little sculptures using the best inspiration, nature.

I like this one.

I have been meaning to post this for awhile. Blood, sweat and tears.
